Everything you need to know before applying.

No. You do not need a coaching credential to become a member of the ICF Ghana Chapter. You need to be either (a) an ICF Global member already, or (b) willing to apply for ICF membership. We welcome coaches at all stages — from those just starting their training to Master Certified Coaches. The chapter supports your journey at every level.
ICF Global membership (via coachingfederation.org) gives you access to the worldwide ICF network, credentials, and core benefits. The ICF Ghana Chapter is your local community within that global body. Chapter membership connects you with Ghanaian coaches, local events, and West African networking — and is typically included with your ICF Global membership for chapters in your region.
ICF Global membership fees are approximately $135/year for Associate Members and $245/year for Professional Members (USD). ICF Ghana Chapter community access is included as part of your ICF Global membership at no additional cost. Organisational membership is custom-quoted. Yes, absolutely. Several of our current members are based in France, the UK, Senegal, Burkina Faso, and beyond. If you are Ghanaian-born or have a strong professional connection to Ghana and West Africa, you are very welcome in our chapter. We hold many events virtually, making participation accessible from anywhere in the world.
ICF offers three primary coaching credentials: the ACC (Associate Certified Coach) for coaches with 100+ coaching hours, the PCC (Professional Certified Coach) for those with 500+ hours, and the MCC (Master Certified Coach) for coaches with 2,500+ hours at the highest mastery level. The credential you pursue depends on your experience. Our chapter provides mentoring guidance to help you choose and navigate the right path. See the Credentials section above for full requirements.
Yes. As an ICF Global member, you are eligible to be listed in the ICF Coach Finder — a global directory used by individuals and organisations to find credentialed coaches. Being listed significantly increases your visibility to potential clients. You will also be featured in the ICF Ghana Chapter Member Directory on this website once your profile is submitted.
Once you complete the form below and register with ICF Global, a member of our chapter team will contact you within 3–5 business days to welcome you, guide next steps, and schedule your orientation. Full processing of your ICF Global membership typically takes 1–2 weeks.
Members have access to our full calendar including: Coaches Coffee Connect networking sessions, chapter webinars and professional development workshops, ICW (International Coaching Week) events, and access to ICF global conferences and events at member rates. Many events are hybrid or fully virtual. We also host periodic in-person events in Accra.
